I accidentally marinated meat in the freezer instead of the refrigerator. What should I do? Cooking


Hey all,


Yesterday night I decided I was going to make beef jerky. However, I was under the influence of a slightly questionable substance at the time, and accidentally put my marinating meat (sliced london broil in a gallon ziplock bag) in the freezer instead of the refrigerator. Some six or seven hours later, I woke up, realized what I had done, put the very much frozen meat in the refrigerator, and went to work. Now it's five hours after I made the swap, and the meat isn't fully thawed yet. Should I still dehydrate it? How long should I wait until I take it out of the marinade? Will the jerky be worse as a result of accidentally freezing it?
