Help me find a roommate reddit!
I'm moving in January and I'm considering a roommate to lower costs. It would have to be a 2 bedroom, 2 bath thing because I'm not comfortable sharing a bathroom.
Ideally, I would prefer to find a place downtown or in Winter Park but I'm open to suggestions on the location. I'm currently on the East Side not far from UCF. As for the budget, mine is kind of on the high side $600-1000 each. Grad students / young professionals / over 21 are preferred but exceptions may be possible for younger people based on their maturity level. Ideally, I'd like only 1 roommate. 3 people is kind of cramped but we may be able to work it out if everyone is cool.
About me:
I'm 24, male, and I go to UCF. I work in Winter Park at one of the best restaurants. Between work, school, internships, research, the gym, and traveling I'm quite a busy guy, so I wouldn't be home that often. I'm pretty neat and clean and my biggest thing about living with someone is keeping the kitchen clean. I'm a huge cook and cook often. I love food, wine, and cocktails and I'm well acquainted in the Orlando culinary / craft cocktail scene. I will usually host a dinner party or supper club once a month. I like to come home and make a cocktail, open up a bottle of wine, or try a new beer. So please be okay with alcohol. Also, I have top-of-the-line appliances and cookware for us to use: mixers, an espresso machine, All-clad pans, high grade chef knives, vitamix, etc. I also keep a full refrigerator and pantry stocked. So yes, the kitchen is my domain but as a plus, you'll have amazing foodstuffs, wine, and beer to enjoy with me. A roommate who appreciates and can respect this stuff would be great.
I'm really into weightlifting and fitness - like olympic lifts / bodybuilding. I go to the gym almost every day and play all sports. I play tennis often. I love football and UCF sports. I'm also very much into arts and culture. I appreciate good design and our apartment will be nicely furnished. I'm into music as well, I go to a lot of shows and I'm starting to amass a large vinyl collection. I'm also into car-modding and European cars. I read a lot and I like watching movies. I'm very academic and slightly nerdy (hello reddit).
Just to give you a sense of who I am the places I frequent are the Social, the Enzian, the Woods, Courtesy bar, HSR, Ravenous Pig, Smiling Bison, Prato, Lil Indies, Matador, Bach Festival Society, Orlando Shakes, Milk District, Redlight Redlight.
I'm socially and politically liberal so it would be ideal to have a roommate with the similar tolerant worldview.
I do not have a preference on gender. Obviously, as roommates we need to respect each others' personal spaces. Having a significant other is totally fine but I would prefer he/she does not end up living there. I'm ent friendly but I don't really light up anymore. If you're a heavy smoker I'll help you quit, lol. If you're young, please be out of your party phase.
I'm very financially stable for my age. Though I am still in school and only hold a part-time job I don't live paycheck to paycheck. I already invest in retirement and maintain a sizable emergency fund. I pay rent and all bills on time and you must as well. Please have a steady job / source of income.
I just wrote a lot but I think it's important to mesh well with a roommate because you need to trust and get a long with the person you're sharing a living space with.
I haven't done much apartment hunting or research yet but some places that appeal to me are:

- Nora
- Skyhouse
- Paseo at Winter Park Village Also, renting out of a house could be a possibility.
