"Without going into the details, my father continues to mistreat my grandmother. As a result, I decided to take action while he was away. . . Drove 1,200 miles RT, started repairs on my grandmother's house (father's promised to do this for seven years), and filled her gas tank and even purchased food for her refrigerator.

No previous experience with remodeling, but I did everything on my own within 24 hours. I'm currently looking for black used appliances off craigslist, whereas her dishwasher is broken, oven is unreliable, and the ice maker is broken.

Up next: fix the holes in the floor, paint, and move on to the bathroom(s).
