Frankie V’s Spooky White. This habanero-based sauce has an immediate sharp garlic and ginger flavor with a solid, lasting afterburn. Very flavorful; this is definitely joining my regular on-the-table rotation alongside the El Yucateco and Tropical Pepper sauces. The packaging clinches it.
Lucky Dog, Black Label. Hard to pin down at first — but in a really good way. Warm, rich, bold, comforting, with a spreading burn and a full flavor. I look forward to experimenting with this one.
Wuju, Original. As featured on the frontpage, this is a curry sauce with a strong sweet notes. Nice flavor, but unsure how I’ll incorporate into my rotation. Thoughts?
Born to Hula’s Smokehaus Blues. Smokey, full favor that is much more nuanced than your garden-variety chipotle sauce. Again, begs more experimentation.
Frankie V’s Fiery. Similar to the “white” variety, but with a fuller tomato flavor, which is the added ingredient. Not sure if there's enough differentiation between this and the other variety to boast a separate product line, but it works.
Verdict: These are all really solid, moderate heat-level sauces that likely won’t languish in my refrigerator for long.
Shoutout to /u/heathotsauce, who provided a flawless retail service, from ordering to delivery.
