Missing Weird Kitchen Items Paranormal

This seems mundane, but I've investigated the crap out of this before jumping to any conclusions. Unfortunately, I am at the stage I'm considering investing money into video recording my apartment.

Here's the quick rundown: I live with my girlfriend in an apartment. Only me and her. We cook every weekday and therefor have a decent number of kitchen supplies. We have never lost anything from our kitchen without being able to find it with a thorough look around, but recently a Chinese ceramic pot lid and a basting brush have vanished. These items seem random, but strangely fall into the same category of tools that we use maybe once every 2 weeks so we can't tell exactly when they disappeared. The pot lid is extremely specific to this Chinese ceramic pot, which is still here and not all that valuable. I only wash it by hand and place it back on the pot and into the cabinet and it is not a small or lightweight item.

We tore the kitchen apart. Every cabinet, emptied the refrigerator and freezer (which was unnecessary but I didn't know what to do), took apart the stove, the dishwasher... They are not in that kitchen. Did a similar search in the rest of the apt. Nothing.

I started looking in the garage storage. We only moved in recently and don't have much stored up from our college days, so it didn't take long to realize they are not there.

I don't know what to do. We didn't accidentally throw away such a lid, maybe the brush, but not a ceramic lid. Either someone is breaking in and stealing the most bizarre things ever, or.. I really don't know. We've considered sleepwalking, but that seems unlikely as neither of us has ever before and we haven't started medication or drugs.

That's where I am now. Sifting through impossible solutions to a pretty mundane but unnerving disappearance.

Obviously any ideas would be welcome. I don't want to video record myself, that sounds boring, creepy, and this may not reoccur.
