I'm buying a house that has no refrigerator in it and I'll need to buy one sometime soon. I probably won't be moving until mid may, just before memorial day. I'm looking to pick up a side by side counter depth model since french door units with ice and water in the door are considerably more expensive than side by sides are. Currently leaning towards a sears counter depth side by side that's ~$1400 but pretty much always on sale for $1200.
Maybe the frugalers know, will better deals be had on memorial day weekend sales if I wait? I plan to shop a local outlet store for scratch and dent models and look through sears outlet (though nationwide shipping on some of the better deals uses up a lot of the savings), but given I want a counter depth model that severely limits the options. So if I do end up buying new will there be better deals on memorial day, or are those sales largely 'made up'? I mean really it seems like sears has appliance sales running nearly 24x7 so I'm not sure it makes any sense to go without one for a week.
