Grocery List lifeofnorman

"Let's see, here," Norman muttered to himself as he walked into the kitchen. It was early in the morning, on the first Saturday of the month -- the day Norman goes to the super market. He walked up to his refrigerator and removed the magnetic notepad he uses for this purpose. Jotting down a few things, he thought about what he would make for dinner for the rest of the week. He decided to make beef stroganoff and wrote those ingredients down as well. Shortly after writing his list, he donned his Saturday cardigan and left his home.

The eight minute drive to the super market was uneventful. The parking lot was a busy, so he parked his car a little further away. He didn't mind the walk; today was a sunny day. The super market doors opened with a soft brush of air. He turned to the left and pulled a cart out of the line. Reaching into his cardigan pocket, he paused -- the grocery list wasn't there. 'Odd,' Norman thought. 'I always put it in this pocket.' After searching his other pockets, he realized that his grocery list was still on the kitchen table. 'Oh, well, I suppose I could still get a few things,' Norman thought. With a peculiar feeling in his stomach, Norman did his grocery shopping. After he paid the $42.18 for his items, he walked back to his car. Regrettably, he parked a little further away than usual.

Returning home, he walked his items into the kitchen, where he found his cat Norman laying in a sunny patch on top of the grocery list he left behind. Norman wanted to throw it away, but he didn't want to disturb Norman's nap.
