Age - 27, sex - male, height - 5'11, weight - 66kg, duration - 9 months
So last summer I did something stupid. I took an unlicensed tanning drug (melanotan) which knocked me for six. Literally for 2 months after taking I felt permanently hungover, had aching pains in my chest and felt generally abysmal.
Went to the doctor and they ran bloods etc, everything was normal except elevated liver levels. These persisted to be high up until my last check in December (they were going down slowly - other tests seemed to be OK).
Anyway ever since the initial onset 9 months ago I haven't felt great. My exercise tolerance is way down and after a 1 mile run the next day I'm shattered. I also have recently developed tight/sore/sensitivity behind my ears and sometimes feel more sensitive to sound.
I have to say I feel way better than 6 months ago, and probably better than 3 months ago (hard to tell). It's worsened by the fact I'm doing a masters degree at the moment, so am also hugely stressed by the workload.
I was wondering if any doctors have insights as my own is completely disinterested and unhelpful. I just want to feel healthy and normal again. Before this I was doing weights 3 times a week and jogging 3 days a week and feeling incredible. Now I have a refrigerator hum of exhaustion constantly and can't seem to regain full energy levels.
Thanks in advance :)
