We have a 4 year old Whirlpool French-door refrigerator and tonight we opened the freezer which is on the bottom and in the bottom of the fridge behind the drawer that we pulled out, we noticed that there was a layer of ice about 1/2 thick. We constantly hear the defroster thingie going and I assume this is why. Where could that water be coming from? Can anyone give me some pointers on where and what to check? We've already checked the rubber seals around it and there are no leaks there that we can see. I really can't afford to have a repair service right now, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to if we can't figure this out ourselves. Would greatly appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction on what to look for. It seems like this started when we moved the fridge to clean behind it, so I'm thinking that maybe something just came loose, but I have no idea where to look. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
