Hi all! My boyfriend and I are looking for a new (solo) roommate to replace our former roommate in the master bedroom/bathroom.
Rent is $1100 + utilities + house expenses (water, electric, internet, gardener, pest control). Lease is 1 year, then goes month-to-month.
The room is on the sunny side of the house. It measures 12' by 13', has a large closet with mirrored doors, and is the only carpeted room in the house. The bathroom includes a dual sink and shower stall, no tub.
We live in a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house with in-unit washer/dryer (bought new in 2011, I think). The kitchen is mostly stocked, and includes a dishwasher and new refrigerator. The attached garage opens to the kitchen; the garage isn't available for parking, but you'll be guaranteed a spot in the driveway. Street parking is ample.
No pets, please: the landlady did me a favor by accepting my cats, and has said without question that she wants no more pets in the house.
The house is located in south San Jose, close to Hwys 85 and 101, as well as near the Cottle Ave and Santa Teresa Blvd light rail stops. There's shopping nearby at the Village Oaks shopping center, and we're ~10-15 minutes away from Oakridge Mall, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's.
We are in our 30s, working professionals, mostly neat (he's tidier than I), and quiet. Both of us are car and motorsports enthusiasts; we spend most of our summer weekends racing, while off-season evenings are spent playing games (video or board, usually). We enjoy having friends over occasionally, usually to play board or video games.
Our ideal roommate is responsible, mostly neat, and nice with a positive attitude. We don't smoke, and don't drink much, and hope the same from you. 420 would bear discussion (neither one of us partakes).
