LG sealed system failed appliancerepair

I have an LG refrigerator for a year with both an extended warranty and the manufactors warranty on the sealed system in effect. Reading on the internet it seems LGs are prone to this and the tech said it would cost more to replace the sealed unit then what I paid for the whole frig.

Anybody else had this problem? Its been three weeks and the extended warranty people and LG warranty are in discussion of what to do and who is going to pay for it.

I will never buy another LG product regardless of what happens.
