I'm driving across the state (6 hours or more) for Thanksgiving this year, and I was hoping to bring a cheesecake. I know that freezing a cheesecake will preserve it, but I don't know if freezing and moving it will work.
My plan was as follows:
-Bake cheesecake over the weekend.
-Freeze the cheesecake sealed in plastic wrap.
-Drive to my friend's home on the Thanksgiving weekend, with the cheesecake in a cooler.
-Leave the cheesecake in his refrigerator until it's time to eat it.
Is that a viable option? Will the cheesecake be in good condition to eat by the time I arrive?
