So, we rented a storage room. I completely understand that it is at our own risk and what not, and I also understand that we did not get insurance, so we'd typically be SOL.
That said....
We had our major appliances in the small storage room. A washer, dryer, and refrigerator. A month after we stored it, we were about to sell the washer and dryer. My husband went to meet the guy at the storage room, and our lock was replaced by another.
He was able to look in it a little and saw a bed and some other furniture. Obviously not ours.
The owner has absolutely no idea what happened. We weren't behind on paying, so they guy didn't have us on his auction list.
Well, the guy said that he would look at the cameras and see what happened. Told my husband that worst case he'd put us on the insurance and we can file a claim.
The guy is not returning our calls or messages.
Is this a case that would be favorable towards us in court, or are we just shit outta luck?
We're in Mississippi btw.
