Moving into an off grid cabin for the summer, looking forward to simplifying life but a little curious about full-time life without a refrigerator. I'll have a stovetop, pressure cooker, solar oven, and a few other basics. I've done a lot of hiking/camping trips with backpacking food, but was wondering if people had some tips for some specific items. I'll also add my current 'solution' I have bouncing around in my head.
Butter - Coconut Oil/Olive Oil (does earth balance make packets?) Soymilk - Powered or Shelf Stable Mayo - 8pz JustMayo jars Salad Dressing - Oil/Vinegar? (What other options?) Sauces - Need some help identifying shelf stable options Veggies - Cool storage in the house Leftovers - Just Don't
It's actually pretty simple, seems like most of what I eat isn't changed too much, just some of the luxuries that can probably be modified/removed.
