Family Bike Ride and Walk Today (Forest Hill) rva

Meant to post this the other day. Sorry for the last minute info.

Attached

As our first public event, Southsiders for Biking and Walking, is sponsoring a Family Fun Walk & Bike Ride on Sunday, March 29. You are all invited to attend, and meet some of the people working to improve walking and riding conditions in the Southside. We'll meet at 1:30 at the Westover Hills Public Library parking lot (1408 Westover Hills Boulevard).

We'll have 3 events to feature the beautiful Westover Hills neighborhood and its context in the City of Richmond.

** a walk along Westover Hills Boulevard to the river, with discussion about how to improve the local infrastructure for safe walking and bicycling.

** a casual family bike ride, about 5 miles through Westover Hills and Forest Hill Park, along the beautiful residential streets of the neighborhood.

** a somewhat more challenging, but very scenic and historic, 22 mile bike ride around the James River in Richmond, starting and ending from Westover Hills.

We need help in getting a few leaders, at different paces, for the 22 mile ride. We will use the River City Byways bike route that is available on the RABA website, starting and finishing from the Westover Hills Library in Westover Hills. if you have any questions, and especially if you're interested in helping to lead the 22 mile ride.

The flier is attached, if you would like a reminder for your refrigerator or would like to invite your friends and neighbors.

Hope to see you in Westover Hills on March 29!
