I have seen a bunch of blender posts but I haven't seen my specific blender brought up. I first got interested in making smoothies when I saw the Blendtec commercials blend vegetables up really smoothly. I'm not a big fan of vegetables so this is a great option for me. My only problem was if I was going to spend this kind of money for a blender, I wanted something that would last a long time. I decided to check out commercial options since I figured if they could hold up to a restaurants use, it would really last for me. I have made smoothies 4+ times a week for the last 5 years and this blender still works like it is new.
Now a few warnings as this blender isn't exactly house friendly.
-If you live in an apartment and use this blender, your neighbors will absolutely hate you. It is really loud and sometimes I just get it going and leave the room for a couple of minutes.
-It is big and heavy. Mine stays on my counter because it is a pain to stash away and I use it almost daily. If you have a small kitchen, dealing with it is going to suck. Its 13.7 lbs and 18" height.
Now my favorite aspects about it.
-The container is huge (64 oz), so I can mix up a smoothie and have half for breakfast and put other half in the refrigerator for later in the day.
-This thing blends silky smooth. That means no seeds from berries, no roughness from carrots, and no clumps of protein powder or honey. Takes about 2-3 minutes to blend to this consistency.
-Surprisingly easy to clean. Basically I just rinse out the container & lid and let it air dry.
-It is incredibly powerful and it takes everything I throw at it. 3.5 HP, 1500-20,000 RPM, and 1500 watts.
-Good warranty 3 yr for the motor and 2 year parts and labor.
