I have a 4+ year old Frigidaire model FFHT1817LS4 that's worked fine without me doing any maintenance on it beyond cleaning the inside since I bought it new. The power went out a few days ago, and this morning I noticed the compressor wasn't running, the fridge/freezer weren't as cool as they should be, and the light was off. I started pulling it away from the wall to check out the plug, and the compressor started up. Light still off. I decided to leave it alone while I went to work.
When I got home, same problem: compressor off, no light, not as cold as it should be. I unplugged it, plugged it back in to a different socket on the same outlet, then tried a different outlet. Nothing. I walk away to google it, and I hear the compressor turn on. It's now cooling again, but the light is still off.
A little googling makes me think that if anything is going wrong with a fridge, it's a huge issue. The light being out made me think it might just be a fuse, but maybe it's something bigger and the light just burned out at the same time coincidentally.
I have verified that all the plugs I mentioned have power by plugging in my phone to each.
Manuals and wiring diagrams if that's helpful.
Cross posting to /r/appliancerepair and /r/techsupport. Mods, please advise me if there's a better place for this. Thanks!
