New sensor device detects gases emitted from spoiled meat AskElectronics


Inexpensive, portable, less power sensor device devised by MIT Scientists can detect whether the meat in grocery or refrigerator is safe to eat. Similar sensor developed earlier to detect the fruit ripening. This new device can be incorporated in smartphones to read the out from sensors.
