My refrigerator is not working and I sent an email to the landlord, as per the lease agreement. The refrigerator along with the rest of the appliances are covered in the lease. It has been 3 days without a response. I don't have any other contact method. I have two questions. First, can I call out my own repair person and deduct the charge from the rent? Second, can I subtract the cost of the all the spoiled food I purchased for Christmas dinner from the rent?
