I fetched a bottle of ice cold Belgian triple ale from the refrigerator. It's the kind of beer that undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. When I opened it, the ale immediately started to rise and spill over. Trying to stop the spill, I put my finger in the bottle, which did nothing but increase the pressure, and made the precious fluid squirt all the way up to the ceiling.
