Salmon kept in veggie box in the fridge overnight (instead of freezer), is it still safe to eat? NoStupidQuestions

I bought half a kilo of Salmon yesterday morning, and my mum didn't notice it in the shopping bag so she put it in the normal refrigerator with the veges. I just noticed it now and put it in the freezer. Is it still safe to eat? It's been well over 24 hours...
