How to exclusively pump while away from home for 5 days? breastfeeding

I have been exclusively pumping for about 4 weeks, so I'm still pretty new at it. I tend to pump 10-15 oz more than my baby eats in a day, so I will put every other pumping's output into the freezer at home while the rest of it gets put in the refrigerator and is usually consumed in 24-36 hours. We have not yet had to dip into the freezer stash.

Next month, we are going away for 5 days to visit my in laws. It's a 5 hour drive away, so i'm trying to figure out how to go about doing this correctly, since I will need to keep pumping and i'd prefer not to waste any milk.

I was thinking maybe the day before leaving, i should use up all the refrigerated milk and start freezing whatever i pump except for the next 1 or 2 feedings' worth. I can take some milk in a cooler for the drive, but I wont have any way of heating it. I have a manual pump for the car ride i can use - maybe that's how i should go about it?

Since i pump more than my baby consumes, should i freeze the excess and then try to transport it back home somehow? Any success keeping milk frozen for a 5 hour drive? Or maybe I shouldnt freeze any of it, keep it fresh and just come home with whatever couldnt be used and use it up first?

I'm sure i'm overthinking this - any advice?
