ELI5: if you are heating a room anyway, is any electronic device left on wasting any energy? Doesn’t it all contribute to heat? explainlikeimfive

For instance if I keep my desktop computer running, lights or refrigerator on, isn’t all the extra energy released as heat off setting the heat needed to warm a room?
