I used to convince my cousin of doing a lot of things just for my pleasure confession

Well so there it goes, when I was a kid I was kinda weird, I has almost no friend and used to hang out a lot with my cousin (1 year younger than me). He used to stay in my house an we usually played videogames (snes) all the day however when I had to stay in his house I got bored very fast, because there was nothing to do inside (my uncle and my aunt were very religious and didn't let us nothing, and we had to go to sleep at like 7pm). Well so here's where it begins, since I got bored very fast in his house, i used to suggest him some weird shit, like burning some of his more expensive toys (he had a lot of them) and things like that. One time we burned an action man, beheaded it, ant put its little plastic head inside a refrigerator in a grocery store near his house, another time we peed inside a car that was parked in front of his house an the owner left the windows down, another time I made him eat cockroaches telling him it was a new cereal, the worst thing i did to him was when I made him ate a piece of dog shit in exchange for lending him my Snes for two weeks. I don't know why but I enjoyed seeing him doing these things. The thing is that I always got away with all these things because he was very known for being problematic. I can keep going but fuck I feel so bad for him, I think that I took advantage of his innocence/stupidity. (Sorry for the bad English) TL:DR: basically the title

i secretly hope that when my roommate goes home next week she drops out and never comes back confession

at first i thought she and i were going to be friends, not best friends, but friends. i usually get along with people pretty easily and generally don’t really get upset with people unless they REALLY push my buttons. and she has figured out how to do exactly that. first of all, her mindset about the cleanliness of our room is “if i ignore that then my roommate will clean it up.” she leaves pieces of food, wrappers, used tissues, and empty bottles all over the room with no intention of picking them up and throwing them in the trash can which is approximately one foot from her desk. she leaves clothes and shoes thrown in the middle of room and doorways. she unsympathetically makes comments like “yeah you clean the whole room and i do nothing hahah.” it’s assumed that it’s my responsibility to restock toilet paper/paper towels etc. and god fucking forbid she puts a roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder. she spills her milk inside of MY refrigerator and makes remarks to me about how annoyed she is with the milk spilling, and then proceeds to leave it there until i clean it up. so basically she treats me like the fucking maid and i don’t get paid shit so i hate that. she expects me to drop everything and pay full attention to her 45-minute long ridiculously pathetic stories about how some dude didn’t respond to her snapchat IMMEDIATELY and now she’s spun that into something of actual meaning and it’s the end of the motherfucking world, and all i want to do is tell her that she over analyzes everything and puts meaning into benign things. and when some dude says “hey i haven’t seen you in a while, what have you been up to” upon bumping into her in the hall, it is in fact him just being polite and is not him trying to jump your bones, especially because he already has an almost official girlfriend who is (no offense) exponentially prettier than said roommate. and i have to be entirely supportive of everything she likes whether that be boys or decisions or whatever, but anytime i’m telling her about something i’m excited about she either almost entirely ignores me or scoffs and makes a snide comment that shuts me down. she’s also easily the most negative person i’ve ever met in my life, always complaining about her “terrible upbringing” even though after getting the full scope of her upbringing it turns out to be very average and again, she has this illusion in her mind that it’s some hugely traumatic and unique thing. (basically she’s a middle child and feels like her parents didn’t pay enough attention to her and her brother sometimes has anger issues). she always expects things to be awful, with just one example being every time she goes somewhere i say “have fun, see ya later!” and her response every time is “i won’t.” i generally consider myself a “glass half full” person and she puts such a damper on my mood everyday that i feel like i’m starting to get depressed. it feels constantly like she’s expecting/looking for reasons for me to upset her or disappoint her or piss her off or “steal her thunder.” but what she doesn’t realize is she responds to people in a way that’s defensive and belittling and it makes people feel uncomfortable or negatively towards her, so her whole life is one big fucking self-fulfilling prophecy of negativity and disappointment. she’s one of the least considerate people i’ve ever met, early in the morning before i get up (8:15am) she turns on all the lights in the room, opens drawers/doors and slams them shut (not intentionally to be loud, but as if she were getting ready in the room entirely alone and not as if somebody is sleeping 6 feet away from all of this commotion). basically she’s my own personal roommate from hell that has somehow figured out how to push all of my buttons simultaneously and it’s only been 2 of 7 months of living together. i’ve tried to have polite conversations with her about these things on multiple occasions but she immediately gets defensive and blames me/makes me feel at fault and will hold a grudge until i apologize for something that’s not my fault just to alleviate the extreme uncomfortable tension it creates. i hope to fucking god she drops out so i never have to see her miserable face again.

I made my coworker shit their pants confession

In the staff refrigerator at work I always keep a half gallon of ice tea, and I leave a note asking people not to drink it as it's my tea and I always drink the entire thing by the end of the day. But someone kept drinking it, even tho I had a note asking kindly not to. So I bought a box of laxatives and put ALL of them in. Well, the man taking my tea shit his pants at work later that day and I feel great!

After almost two years of sobriety, I found a different drug and I feel doomed. This might be one of my last years alive. confession

Hello, r/confession.

A background about me; 23 year old girl who just started at university in August. I had to move another state over to go to this school. All throughout elementary/middle/high school I never thought I was good enough for college, so I never considered it. Since high school graduation in 2012, I've worked at dozens of different jobs and I whole heartedly hated them all. Retail, sales, every aspect of food service (hostess, bussing, serving, line cooking), healthcare, marketing, babysitting, dog washing, I even did cam girl work for a while. I know I'm forgetting a lot of things, but I can't remember them all now. But trust me, it was a lot, and I hated all of it.

I attribute my failures in the work place to my life long struggle with anxiety and depression. Last year I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, which explained a LOT of my awful behavior as a human being. Since getting that diagnoses I have come a long way in how I deal with my symptoms. I try to be easy to be with and easy to love, because I know I have the capacity to be a truly ugly person within, and I don't want to keep letting it leak out and poison the people around me. But regardless of what I do to manage my symptoms, I still have a lot of anxiety, intense rapid mood swings, and depression.

I had been using drugs like klonopin (spelling?) and eventually xanax all throughout my teens to cope with anxiety attacks. Xanax was amazing for me. It would only take just minutes before my anxiety would melt away. It changed my life, it was my "miracle drug." I didn't abuse it at all for a long time, I cherished it so I only used it when I truly needed it when I was losing to the relentless torrent of anxiety. But what was once my solace became a fully blown addiction. I was in denial about it for so long I can't even say when exactly it started. I went from taking the smallest dose possible maybe 5 times a week, to taking 10 or more bars of xanax every day. I OD'd three times before I was finally able to see my problem for what it was. Third time's the charm, literally.

Sorry, I feel like this is already a lot to take in. I just need to get this out there because I feel like an animal with a limb stuck in a trap. Thanks for bearing with me, I hope you can keep reading.

In late 2015 I overdosed for the third time. I don't remember doing it, but I took 50 bars of xanax after work. I read that even in high doses xanax can't kill you unless you mix it with alcohol or other drugs. I don't know how many days it took to come out of it. I slept in my room for almost a week, if I was getting up and eating/bathing/using the bathroom, I have no memory of any of it. But the day I finally felt the fog dissipate, of course the first thing I thought of was "shit, I need my xanax." I found the bottle and was mortified that it was empty. I cried so hard. For a really long time. I was so hurt that it was all gone, and that it was my fault. I sent out emails to my doctor in desperation, begging for another prescription. I think I told him my dog ate my pills.

Well, my doctor didn't believe me when I said something about my dog eating my xanax. He told me I had to just wait until next month if I wanted more. It was then that I had to stare the issue in the face, and I admitted I had a problem. I spent weeks in bed, sobbing day and night, feeling like my best friend had died. I was grieving over this drug and the idea that I wasn't allowed to have it anymore. To me it felt no different than when a close family member dies.

So almost all of 2016 was spent trying to self improve. Became vegan, broke up with my boyfriend, dropped toxic friends and really tried to figure it out. The first 6 months was hell, but it got easier.

Fast forward to this year, I finally applied to college. And I got in. I moved to a new state in August and started class a week later. The first few weeks were amazing. Started losing more weight, made a bunch of friends and made good grades. It was amazing, I have never been so healthy and functional in my adult life. But...something in me snapped. I started skipping class because of anxiety. I could no longer look in the mirror. Doing so would send me on this downward spiral of frustration and self hatred. I started randomly crying all the time. Friends would knock on my dorm door and I would just pretend to not be there because I was terrified of everyone. I felt so ugly and worthless. My friends are beautiful, and I felt like a troll they took pity on by being my friend.

Then it happened. I don't have access to xanax, but there are drugs you can get at the store. I started abusing benadryl. Fucking benadryl. I was taking 6-10 pills twice a day. I love how the come up feels, it feels like excitement bubbling in my chest. I like the couch lock, I like playing computer games while I'm on it, and I like how it makes me want to talk to people. I become focused and inspired, in a way.

I kept skipping class and staying in to dose up. The only time I'd go out was in the middle of the night so I could stock up on snacks and more allergy pills. One day I did go to class and didn't make it the whole day, instead I ran to my dorm during lunch. Wrote out this really long email to my teacher expressing how hopeless it all feels, how I hated my peers, that I was never going to be good enough to function in society, ect. The breakdown had begun. Completely stopped going to class after that. I started taking higher doses of benadryl and pretended to leave the state for a few days so faculty wouldn't send security to my room anymore.

On Monday of last week when everyone was in class, I felt low. It felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest, like how it feels when you break up with someone you really liked. I was so fucking tired of feeling only anxiety or sadness. I wanted to feel literally anything else, even if it was bad. I was okay with feeling a different kind of negativity because it was different than the awful shit I was feeling. So, in a fit of anxiety I took 30 tablets. I wanted to make my heart stop. When I started feeling weird from them, I took more. I finished off the bottle.

I wanted to die so fucking bad last Monday. For days I had felt like it would be an act of compassion if someone had just shot me in the head. It felt like that was the only true liberation from this Hell inside of me.

I got really sick. I threw up a few times. Saw spiders in my refrigerator, and was sure my cat couldn't see me anymore. When he looked at me it was like he was looking through me. That scared me so fucking much. But the whole time the thought of "this is what you wanted, this is all it will ever be." Wouldn't stop playing in my head. I watched countless murder and suicide videos. I cried and looked at these people, wishing I was in their place. I was in upheaval. I tried so hard to just imagine what it would feel like to be shot. I thought if I focused on it hard enough, I would be killed somehow. I wanted it to happen to me and was frustrated that innocent people were dying when there are people like me who want to die. I was wishing I could take their places and they could take mine. They deserved the privilege of going to a university and to build a good future for themselves. I hated seeing them die, but I was envious at the same time. After that happened, I spoke with a lady in student life. She had been trying to correspond with me for weeks about what was going on, so I finally caved and had a meeting with her. I told her everything, how badly I want to die because my anxiety always comes back, how ugly I feel, how I tried to OD but failed, which was just another example of my ability to fail at life, all of it. She really listened to me. I told her about how talking didn't feel real anymore, like I'm in a simulation and talking is the currency that gets me by while I'm participating in it. I felt completely detached from people and my surroundings if I'm not in a panic about something.

This woman was really compassionate about everything. She shared a lot of stories about her own hardships in life. And I listened. I couldn't feel anything, but I knew if I could feel something, it would be something like empathy. She really seemed to understand what I'm going through. She made sure I could take the month off and go back to school in November, so long as I drive home and tell my family what was happening.

I told my parent (no type-o's, I have a relationship with only one parent) and two siblings what was happening. I broke down and told them everything. They were surprised because I was doing so well at first. I apologized for potentially hurting them by hurting myself. And then on Sunday, I came home.

Since being here I have only gone one day without taking benadryl. I still feel miserable. I have come to the conclusion that even without drugs, I always break down every few months and I want to stop being alive. I can't hold down a job, but here I am trying to get a bachelor's degree. What a joke. Thinking about a lifetime of going through this several times a year, getting back up every time just to fall again, makes me feel exhausted. This isn't a life.

I recognize the pattern now. I'll do well in life for a few months, charm the pants off of people, make friends, make decent money...and then it all crashes down. I break down and spiral out of control. I can't keep living like this. Even when I get passed this benadryl thing, this pattern will continue. I'm so sick of feeling like two people stuck in one mind. People shouldn't live like this. I don't know how much longer I can. I think that by the age of 25 I will be dead. One day I'm going to be pushed over the edge for good. I feel like that day is approaching sooner than later.

Thank you for lasting this long, I'm done. I just needed to get this off my chest. Have a good night. I'm trying to have one.

I took lots of Benadryl and stole a pizza. confession

Hey all. Just made a new account here on the good old reddit machine so I can anonymously post all my random confessions. I have a lot.

The last few days I've been using Benadryl recreationally. I know lots of people hate the effect it has when taken in high doses, I understand why, it can make you see shadow people and shit like that.

I have learned to like taking high amounts of the stuff, Thing is, though, I get fucking WEIRD on Benadryl. In leu of that piece of information, the confession I have for you directly correlates to my Benadryl binge.

The other night, I took like 10 25mg capsules. After a while I started getting hungry and restless, as one does when they take too much of this shit. I went out into the hallway (I live in a dorm), and walked to our shared kitchen area. I open the refrigerator and poked around at everything. What makes that inappropriate from the get go is that I totally have a refrigerator and lots of snacks in my room. So no need to use the other one.

I opened a pizza box in the shared refrigerator, someone had eaten only one slice of pizza. I looked at this pizza for what felt like an eternity. I wanted it so bad, I was being hypnotized by the cheese because I hadn't had any in weeks. Before I knew it, I was grabbing the box out of the refrigerator, and then thinking of a "safe place to smash this fuckin shit."

I took the whole box into the closest bathroom. I shut myself in a stall, and...

I fucking ate the whole thing. As fast as I could. I had like 7 or 8 huge slices of pizza, hovering in a bathroom stall, in the middle of the night. It felt amazing to do that, I got a tremendous rush knowing I stole from someone and then fulfilled such a cathartic display of hedonism.

When I was done eating the pizza, I left the box on the toilet of that stall, giggling about how funny it would be to go pee at 6 in the morning and walk into a bathroom stall to find an empty pizza box.

So, yeah, I did a lot of Benadryl and then stole a pizza. I don't ever take things that aren't mine, but Benadryl turns me into an insanely impulsive person, I can't describe how good it felt to to steal that pizza, acting on that impulse.

I do weird ass things like that all the time. I plan on using this account for a chronicle of my confessions. So if you liked this, just know there more to come.

I'm purposely making my co-worker feel uncomfortable at work because he rejected me confession

I understand that I am not entitled to anyone's attraction or affection. I know my feelings are my responsibility and I cannot control who rejects those feelings. The problem was the WAY he rejected me and how he acted afterwards. He led me on, then when I confessed to him how I felt, he mumbled something rude under his breath and has continued to be rude ever since, as if I wronged him for LIKING him. As if my feelings were offensive to him.

So now I make him uncomfortable at work everytime I see him. Today, I splashed water on his shoes and shirt, barricaded him twice with a refrigerator door (once with a cart), put away equipment I knew he needed, purposely bumped into him, worked slowly to slow him down, offer other co-workers treats in front of him, etc. etc. I did a lot to make sure he got the message and I don't care. I know I sound like a crazy, petty bitch (and it sounds like it was probably a good thing that he rejected me, considering how I am behaving now).

I plan to behave in a similar fashion the next time we work together. Unfortunately for him, it will just be him and I this time. No other co-workers around. If he doesn't change his shift to avoid me, he's either really dumb or really brave...or maybe...though not likely...he feels guilty for treating me like shit after confessing my feelings and is only putting up with my BS out of guilt.

I know I sound vengeful and immature, but disrespecting him so openly (yet subtly) at work is really therapeutic for me. I know what I'm doing is wrong. If the roles were reversed I would feel awful. However, I would never reject someone the way he did, so a role-reversal in this case would not be possible.

Why am I acting this way? Whenever I have a crush on a guy, I feel like I'm giving up a piece of my agency to him. The way I dress, the make-up I wear and how I behave are all unintentionally influenced by affection for him. It's like being under a spell; I don't feel like myself whenever I fall for a guy. I fall hard, easily. And no, this spell is not an obsession. It's more like putting a guy on a pedestal who doesn't deserve to be there. Mistreating the guy after he rejected me the way he did makes me feel like I'm regaining my power. The spell has been broken and I'm fighting to keep it off. I am kicking him off the pedestal I put him on and I feel great. Too bad he's the that has to take the fall. That pedestal was built fairly high up.

I know I'm wrong, but I need this. I wish I could take the high road but I can't and I probably won't. The only good thing for him is that he is moving away soon.

[Remorse]I've completely screwed up my life, and am seriously depressed or worse right now. confession

I'm a 28 year old Asian male, and thought I was entering the prime of my life. I had my degree, a good paying job, the (white woman, the dream!) love of my life who I loved and who loved me in return, and I was well on my way towards my 5 year plan of getting married, having the 2 story home with the white picket fence.

We'll call her C. We met in college through a group of friends and it was fantastic dynamics. We talked so much and had a lot of similar opinions on things and were respectful of each other's interests. I broke up with her briefly after 6 months due to a lot of moving parts in my life around that time - parents divorcing, change in major and feeling like a failure, and suffering from being overworked and feeling extreme pressure to be there for my family and succeed in school/work at the same time. I was heavily debating suicide and chose to break it off with C to spare her feelings, but I couldn't do it and ended up going to therapy with her holding my hand the entire time. We spent 4 years together, before I proposed, she accepted, and we moved in together to see if we could really be together long-term. I moved across town to C's neighborhood, so C could be closer to her family, and to make her commutes to work easier.

We got along really well at first. Bought furniture, got a cat, we would watch shows and play games and go out and it was awesome. But I wanted more in our relationship. I wanted more sex. I wanted pictures of us to hang on the refrigerator, and I wanted to go out with my friends more, and have her there to enjoy their company, and go to the beach and be that power couple I always envisioned being. And she would rather stay at home and watch her own shows and read quietly and split her attention on the things I wanted and reading sappy novels and I was really upset that I couldn't get her to focus on me and what I wanted. I would do things like pick her up from work and have food ready for her, or surprise her with cooking/picking up breakfast in bed, and save up money to surprise her with trips around. And I wanted her to be motivated to succeed with me as well, but she instead never finished her bachelor's degree, she became stuck at her work and would always come home tired and upset and complaining about her situation, and aside from going out to eat and watching movies, rarely initiated any "lifestyle" outings like nights out dancing or planning trips to the beach or discovering new restaurants. The sex was already on the low side, but it basically became only when I begged for it. I spent many nights upset at myself for wanting more, when she was already going through so much in her life. I just wanted to help in any way I could.

I took her with me to a League of Legends event, with her meeting many of my online friends in person for the first time. They were very accomodating but she felt very intimidated by not being able to talk about the game, and so shied away from conversations. This was something she frequently did, doing her own thing after a while and I always felt responsible for making her happy, so I was always never fully engaged with my friends. At this event, I also hit it off with one of the girls (we'll call her H) in the group. We talked constantly after heading back home, with her issues with her relationship and me venting about mine. How I wanted to explore more intimacy with C, how she was struggling with her relationship with her man, and we eventually started sharing sexual desires and how they were compatible. One day, she invited me to go and hang out and watch a league event together. I lied to C, and said I was seeing more friends than just H, because C had disliked H from the beginning and I didn't want to cause a rift between two people I cared about. Nothing happened, though there was definite sexual tension. C went through my messages and saw that we had been sharing sexual desires and was extremely upset. I said nothing happened, that the only reason I had to share them in the first place was because of our problems and that she wasn't understanding of where I was coming from and why I needed to vent to someone else that wasn't her, and it's been downhill from there.

C asked me to stop talking to H. I tried multiple times, but the feeling of being upset, coupled with me trying harder to focus on our relationship and it not going anywhere, always made me go back. At first it was just "Hey, I hope you're doing okay. I just need someone to talk to right now," but then it became more about how we were interested in each other. H tried to move on from me with my pushing her, so that I could not feel the strings being pulled between us anymore. She tried to date a new person, but I had a nervous breakdown at the thought of her giving those kinds of attentions to someone else and I had her message me the entire time. Told her I cared for her, to not forget about me, and shortly afterwards they broke up because she cared about me too. I ended up calling off my engagement with C, because I could not truly say I wanted her to be my wife anymore after all that had happened. But after a few days away, I confessed everything to C and said I would try one more time to be the man she wanted me to be, if she would work on the things I needed her to as well. H was devastated when I said I needed to focus on me and C, and I felt like an absolute scumbag for it.

During the time that me and C were working on us (about 5 months), I had grown distant and afraid to open up. I had tried many times to tell her I wanted more sex, and to go out, to save money and cook more home things, and she didn't. I wanted to share new experiences with her, and she wouldn't. I offered to help her with her struggles in her life, and she wouldn't. So I started talking to H again, who forgave me for needing to focus on my life and we began to do things together. She talks to my friends. She plays WoW with me. She talks to me in the way I want to be talked to, makes me feel wanted like I wanted to feel wanted. And I am absolutely heartbroken that the woman I fell in love with and wanted to marry was no longer the person that made me feel loved and wanted, so I call the relationship off with C. I tell her to move out, I split our phone accounts, the whole thing. I fall into a massive depression because of this entire ordeal.

I try to do things that I've wanted to do more of. I go out with my friends. I start working out at the gym. I start seeing a therapist. I tell her how I feel conflicted about the way things happened with C, how she's a good person who didn't deserve my infidelity and my anger and my lack of attention when I wasn't getting what I wanted. I speak with my friends who say they think I am happier not being with C, but also tell me not to date H, who I am told throws herself at anyone who gives her attention and who ultimately might be the same type of woman as C down the road. I freak out, and fall further into a depression. I communicate with C, who tells me she is going to do things with her coworkers (who she'd been hating on for a while now) that she never did or had any interest in doing with me, and I snap. I show her the rage and anger that I'd always restrained from showing her because I loved her. She apologizes later, but I feel even more anger and coldness towards her for not caring about my feelings and how I had spent so long wishing for her to show any interest in me and my interests like that. I feel resentment towards H because of what my friends had said, and because I can't think of H without thinking of the pain I had caused C. I tell her right now we can only be friends while I work on me.

I completely hate myself right now for what I've done to two people who clearly love me and want to be with me. They both terribly want to be with me, and I am pushing them both away. I thought I was a good person. I thought I did the right things in life, always tried to be a role model for my peers and my family and now I feel like the lowest of scum. I no longer know what kind of woman I want, nor do I feel like I deserve one after all the pain and suffering I've caused. For the first time since college, I feel the twinges of thoughts in the back of my mind about hurting myself. All I wanted was to feel wanted, and needed, and that the things I wanted to accomplish in life were done. And now I no longer know who I am anymore.

[Tough Love] I feel guilty wanting sex confession

[Remorse]

First, I've always "felt" the automatic 'resistance' that girls feel about sex and that translates into me believing women are afraid of sex, that they have an overall reluctance to sex. Second, (as far as I've ever known) guys need to "talk the girl into sex" which in my logical brain tells me that there in a huge pleasure divide strongly favoring the guy. Third, I also know that women don't think nearly as much about sex as guys do. That they want to be treated as 'people and not sex objects'. This is a strong one. I have to assume that no woman is ever thinking about sex and that if a guy does, then it's not what she wants you to think and that you're a pervert for doing so. Fourth, women always say that "penetration is not the point" (even if it is for me BY FAR the most important part). This reiterates the pleasure divide noted above. And last, No matter if she's had an orgasm, no matter if she says she loves it, and no mater if it was even her idea to have sex, I still feel like I took advantage of her somehow.

I'm not accusing the girls I've slept with as liars, I just believe I had a better experience and that she "let" me have sex with her - as opposed to her having a greater desire than me. I mean, you never hear about a girl taking advantage of a guy for sex because that's impossible for me to imagine.

I believe "society" has taught me that women are victims and all men are potential rapist even though the thought of that makes me physically ill. I feel sorry for women who have to live in fear for this. I can't wrap my head around the idea that women want sex. I believe they have to be talked into it or otherwise wouldn't bother. Let's not even talk about how seldom women orgasm from PiV sex and how spectacularly one-sided penetration is for men, I just feel sorry for women who have to deal with a penis stabbing them over and over in the pussy until the guy orgasms. Seems extremely victimizing to me. I think about the ISIS soldiers who keep sex slaves as war treasure and how disgusting men are.

Sorry about the rant. I grew up in a feminist household and knew growing up that men's sexual thoughts are bad and that women are victims of men's sexual desires that women don't share. You just never hear about girls who say they love sex like guys do. Maybe having such an abundance of sexual opportunity has made sex seem less valuable to women. Like if you had a magic refrigerator with a never ending supply of your favorite drink. After a while it gets boring, old., and is just not 'special' anymore.

I think girls use sex as a way to trick and trap a guy into a relationship (primarily for biological directives) and she uses sex to 'keep him around', not that she necessarily wants it. This makes me feel sad for girls and I get guilty for wanting sex.

I'm not even sure if I'm looking for advice or not. Maybe I want to hear from other guys who feel the same. I know every girl reading this can relate as a victim.

Is male sexual guilt a natural by product of feminism? How do women want men to think about sex?

When I need eye bleach, I visit Life Pro Tips confession

[Light]: I'm using a throwaway for this confession. Not because it's particularly egregious but because I'm not a very effective Redditor IRL and I want to protect my precious internet points. This confession is light (maybe even a little silly) but it has the potential to piss a lot of people off. Hence the throwaway.

So yeah, it's what the title says. I'm only subscribed to Life Pro Tips because I get a kick out of the naivety of a lot of its posts. Obviously there are some very useful tips, some I've actually taken to heart and put to use in my own life. But there are some really silly ones, too, and I think it's cute that these people put so much thought into such a silly idea, then post it online with the serious intent of helping others.

More than once in the last month I've let go of an audible “aww” when reading the posts. One in particular was a tip advising others to take a picture of their stove and outlets, as well as their own locked doors, prior to leaving on a long trip. Another one that sticks out for me is a post telling people to leave their employer on good terms only. Reaching into the past, I still gush when I remember a post telling people to take a picture of the inside of their refrigerator before going shopping.

In between those examples, there are so many other posts that just make me smile. I think there's a charming quality to these posts, almost like watching a group of children waking up to the logic behind looking both ways before they cross the road, then running out the door to excitedly share this new found wisdom with others.

TL;DR: Who needs a subreddit for eyebleach when there's one for Life Pro Tips?

I don't play football, but I am trying to become a chubby lineman on purpose confession

I was a relatively small guy, at 6'2" and 160 pounds; Iwasn't thin, but I felt small for my height. After realizing that I was unhappy with myself at that weight, I decided to do something about it. It's normal for guy to want to go to the gym to get bigger, right?

After a few months of weightlifting, with some success in better definition and bigger muscles, I came to a startling realization. It was deeply embarrassing, but I had to acknowledge it: of the guys I saw in the gym, and those among my friends, I generally found myself wishing more and more like I looked like the ones who were built like football players. I don't know what it is about that look; maybe it seems the most masculine to me, so it's what I want to be. I want to be built like a brick wall. I basically realized that I wanted to be a chubby wall of muscle, like an offensive lineman on a football team.

When I realized that, I began to switch to powerlifting, and I tried to increase my eating. In the time since I made that switch, I have gone up to 200 pounds, and the comments that I get from people seem to indicate that I am succeeding in my lineman quest. People generally think that I look "big" and "strong," and a couple people think that I have gotten a bit chubby. I would say that all of that is true.

I realize that this is my goal and that I am trying to achieve it for myself, but I have remorse about it because it is embarrassing to me to want to be chubby-muscular, even though I know that it is what I want. I am afraid to continue getting bigger because I am afraid that criticism will become more constant. I hope that I will become a refrigerator one day, though.

Fed Up With Elderly People in My Life confession

[Remorse]: If you feel bad

I’m not even sure I feel bad about this. I feel confused and I feel like it makes me a bad person, but I don’t really doubt my perspective. I sometimes wonder if I have just had some very bad luck with elderly people or if the problem is on my end. I know I struggle with some of the same physical issues as old people and I feel angry sometimes that they are unable to accommodate me—ever—without making a huge issue of it and saying all the worst possible things you can say to someone with my disabilities. I seem to inevitably run out of patience, part of the problem being that mine is a bit more finite than the average person for reasons that are somewhat out of my control.

I also feel somewhat isolated in my perceptions because so many other people are able to love unconditionally and see this as a virtue. I was never loved unconditionally as a child and I really don’t have that ability. If someone is unable to listen to me at all, cannot accommodate my needs at all, and responds to things I do and say aggressively and critically without even knowing what they are talking about, then I can’t help asking myself this question: Why am I bending over backwards to respect someone who obstinately refuses to respect me back?

I think I have a decent amount of empathy for some of the issues that elderly people struggle with and the diverse personalities, insights, and stories they have to offer, which is why I try to be a listener, let the small things go over my head, and simply offer my time and attention when I can. With the people I am thinking about, and there are three of them, most interactions are so frustrating and exhausting for me that I run out of gas pretty quickly and get to the point where it is physically hard for me to interact. When I try to excuse myself to regroup or if I ask for an accommodation, they push back or say things that are passive-aggressive or condescending. I feel like part of the issue with two of them is that they want to have their cake and eat it too, because they have physical problems they are not addressing and this hampers communication. They are both in total denial about how this hampers communication, how much they misunderstand, and how much work other people have to do in order to get information across to them or even communicate in their presence. They won’t lift a finger to correct the problem or even get the issue tested, but if you offer the slightest critique of their obstructive behavior, you are met with sad puppy face and, ‘We’re just old.” (So feel sorry for us and don’t expect us to be responsible to other people).

One of the people I am thinking about is absolutely malignant. In the same year that I was treated for cancer, we visited her in the break between my 8 rounds of chemo and my 30 days of radiation. We had just come from spending a few days at a fairly nice resort that was by no means, like, the Four Seasons or anything and that was in fact a timeshare, so we had to fend off pitches. Heh, the pool was nice, though. What this person said to me on that trip, sitting right at her dining room table, was, “You are supposed to wait until your kids finish school and move away to do things like that.” I think of that as the moment she showed me her demon face. Cannot unsee. She is the kind of “nice” person who is so happy to see you, welcomes you to her house, and then panics when you want to put a piece of a candy bar in her refrigerator because there is no room. She is now going through trauma and lashing out at everyone around her, and yet I can’t really say anything, because unconditional love. Bleh. I am sick to death of the lack of boundaries and inability to take no for an answer. I am sick to death of people who choose to live their lives in fear and then try to impose their fears on me. I am sick to death of the guilt memes on social media, especially the ones that say something like, “I’ll bet most of you wont share this.” Fucking right I won’t. I am tired of being told I am wrong about things when the real problem is that someone is making giant assumptions out of hand, remembering incorrectly because denial, or just can’t fucking listen. I am tired of people who pretend they care about me and obviously have no interest in me as a person whatsoever, zip, zilch, zero, to the point where they cannot retain the slightest bit of information about me or pay attention to what I am saying. I am tired of hearing variations on, “You had better appreciate your ******* when they are alive because they will be gone someday,” when I feel appreciated by these individuals only when I submerge all of my needs and personality, and also because I find it aggressive and awful. Same with statements like, “Tell (my daughter) she’ll see how it is when she has kids. I did it to my mother and you did it to me and someday it will happen to her.”

When I said, once, in a discussion regarding my concerns about my daughter’s binge-eating (referring back to something this person actually said to me as a child), “At least I’ve never told her, “But you have such a pretty face,” this person contemplatively declared, “I always thought you made things a lot worse for yourself by how you dressed and everything.” NO, NO, YOUR LINE IS SUPPOSED TO BE, “YOU WERE ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL TO ME.” Never heard it, never will, so I just don’t know where this eternal well of unconditional love and acceptance in me is supposed to come from.

I know that by posting this I will (hopefully) get a range of replies. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. It could very well be the case that my views are distorted because of a very small number of people that I have the misfortune to deal with. I have somewhat of an open mind and am always struggling to do the right thing, whatever that is, but I am really tired and fed up right now. And yet I still feel guilty sometimes. Whyyyyy?

While they had faults, I kinda liked Crystal Skull & Phantom Menace confession

Crystal Skull: I never minded the refrigerator thing (I found the lead-lining to be within "comic-book" level of scifi - I found it much less distracting than the raft escape from Temple of Doom), I liked the ants scene and while I disliked the ending being aliens I love Indy so much and Ford's acting it was an overall fun time for me.

TPM- Darth Maul was amazing (if the trilogy had been about him I would have loved that) and Ray Park nailed the role. Duel of the Fates is among the best music in the entire saga and I have no apologies about loving the double-edged light saber.

My mother is a slob and I'm starting to resent her for it confession

[Remorse]: If you feel bad

My mother is a complete downright slob. She NEVER cleans up the dishes she makes and results in mounds of dishes. She never throws away her garbage at all! She'll just leave the shit on the ground or right next to her on the couch for days! I usually end up just cleaning it all up.

To add to this she continues to buy copious amounts of foods! not just any foods, but perishable organic items from farmers markets and expensive stores. This includes fruits, vegetables and meats that all just get buried in our refrigerator. She buys huge bags of 20 apples, oranges, all this stuff. She must think she's gonna eat it all but she never does! I don't even know its there until it's too late I just got fucking done throwing out almost a hundred dollars worth of foods that just were rotten and stunk like shit.

I'm sick of cleaning up after this woman who's old enough to do it herself! Now she's a physician who makes really good money so she can afford to do it, but its downright disgusting and wasteful!

I know she's depressed and has some medical issues with sleep apnea, she used to have Lyme disease, and needs to take stimulants every day just to take a shower. Otherwise she'll just sleep literally all weekend getting up once or twice to get junk food and sugary sodas. It's downright degrading and it infuriates me! It makes me really bitter around her. Sometimes it provokes me to say mean things to her. When I tell her to get help she ignores me, or doesn't take me seriously. My father doesn't do shit and puts up with it but I'm near the breaking point. It's like she wants to be in this situation. I can't wait until I can move out of this shit hole.

In the last moment that I was my mother's daughter, I was clawing for her eyes, in a panic of fury and pain and just no more, no more, no more, no more. My mother may live for many years yet but at that moment, she passed away, and in aftermath I was orphaned to her, 28 years too late. confession

[Remorse]

She was an angry and miserable woman, a very physically wild woman, and no, it's the bastard fact, she never loved me. I was her burden, the unpleasant leaving of my father, the man she hated from the beginning, the one who sowed her rotten and evil field with me.

(She was Catholic you know, too Catholic to do the mercy of a D&C, anyway).

She flung me fiercely to the ground as an infant, unable to address my mindless crying, and strangely enough I remember that moment with startling clarity, though I wasn't yet a year old. This is how I remember it:

There is a huge impact of which I am not aware. I don't feel pain, or I don't remember it: the effect is like being shaken from some deep and painless dream, I don't remember crying but only perhaps its echo, I remember nothing until I hit the carpeted floor beside the crib, and was left staring at the carved white wooden feet of the dresser, less than a foot away; the curious perspective of the floor. I stop crying at once, some half-formed thought of STOP THIS NOW, and stopped everything, atavistic response perhaps of the barely born, survival instinct in the face of parental madness. She is somewhere beyond my feet, a shadow, standing still, stunned perhaps. Now the both of us are made aware of the savagery that will rule us for decades. In this moment I am born to my mother.

Twenty-eight years pass. At eight, she divorces my father: at eleven she marries my pedophile stepfather.

"You can't tell your mom what we do-"

"WHY DON'T YOU JUST STOP, THEN?"

A crumpled bathtowel on the blue-carpet floor; a flimsy hook-lock against the roving invading fierce-handed dickhead mannequin of a man: dragging my bed-mattress into the walk-in closet, securest place I had, and fastening the locks to the tiny wooden door. That door was a foot high, and he was old enough to have arthritis: he couldn't come in there. Safe, among pinned-up Nine Inch Nails CD covers, Vertigo comic panels, glow-in-the-dark stars crowded close on the angled ceiling of the tiny walk in closet where I slept.

"FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU!"

No, I can't tell everything, I can't, there's no room, there's no strength to do that tonight, let me tell you about the moment when I died:

I am living with her again, many years later: I have avoided her assiduously: it doesn't matter how it happened, the backstory like so much of my past is detritus --

But again, for the last time in my life the bitch slapped me.

"LEAVE ME BE," I had cried in an ecstasy of horror that I was already dealing with my foul mouthed now-ex and now this, she crowds up and harangues me, I have displeased the Red Queen, fuck this bitch--!

And she slapped me across the face.

And the veil did drop, and the shadow did fall over, and I said something, closing the refrigerator and turning to her with a cruel white calm of finality that made her eyes widen, that made her fall back before me.

I don't remember what I said.

I turned on her, and she fell back.

"You would do this to me now. You would raise your hand to me."

I am coming on, and she is falling back, and somewhere in the blind windy panic of my anger I remember targeting her eyes, her eyes for God's sake, she was my mother, almost 55 at the time --

I ripped the glasses from her face. We are in the next room now. I am still walking forward. She is still falling back. Her hands are coming up toward her face. This quailing, this falling back, incites a bloodlust thirty years old.

The veil does drop, not tulle now but canvas, like dreams do, the material is malleable. The heat in my head is a steam cooker, mounting toward catastrophe.

And my hands hook to claws and thirty-year-old rage rules me and my consciousness dims and I go for her eyes.

I WILL CLAW OUT THIS BITCH'S EYES!

Thirty years and untold suffering, I will! The bliss of this monster of infancy falling back before me, before the rage she nurtured, I owe her so MUCH! This debt will be discharged NOW--

Her hands are up to protect her face, an old woman, an old woman falling back before this, her own echo of an onslaught.

No, no, I stop, no--

My hands are arthritic claws --

I hold them up in front of my eyes and I see them, this is your mother.

I turn around, hands up like a crone's claws, like a vulture's grasp on empty air in front of me, I turn around.

I turn around and turn around and I walk away, with my traitorous hands out clawed in front of me like a deadly slug pulled from the Fat Boy of my insane, radioactive, barely-contained Superfund site of a soul.

I walk and walk and walk and walk away. I'm still walking, there's so much more but I can't tell it now, I can't bear another moment, I have to vomit up this evil but it comes in little hitches, desperate heaves, sudden fits and rushings of this miserable disease.

I went for her eyes.

It's the anger, /u/Radowl [1] . The anger is what I'm tired of. It's the anger. The anger. That's the thing, man. It has to go.

I need an Ayahuasca vacation, or something. I need something. But I'm going to fix this. It's almost over. She's dead to me, alive or not, and I have no plans to follow the bitch. Ay-wot?

[Light] I broke my microwave confession

[Light]

After browsing some NSFW subs I was so horny I was walking around my house looking for something to fuck. Opening the refrigerator, I saw we had a new watermelon. I carved a hole in it and went to town but it was too cold.

I microwaved it for a few minutes but it was still cold. Watermelons are large, after all. All in all it took like 10 minutes to get it to the temperature I liked, but by that time the microwave was making weird noises and the turn table stopped turning. :(

The sex was okay. Nothing to write home about, as they say. 3/10 would not do again. Later when my family found it broken, I had to pretend I didn't know what happened to the microwave.

I ate well on Good Friday confession

[No Regrets]: If you don't feel bad

I was raised as a catholic but no longer follow any faith or group.

On Good Friday, I had no other food and there was a nice big steak in my refrigerator on its used-by date.

I know you are not supposed to eat meet on this day, but I also assumed that somewhere in the bible there would be a passage that you shouldn't waste the meat of gods animals, so I cooked it to perfection and ate it.

Felt good man.

Got my shitty ex-friend/ex-roommate fired. confession

[No Regrets] After almost a month of constantly being harassed by the asshole who tried to kick me out (with only 12 days notice (his only GOOD friend)) just because he wanted to move his slutty fake girlfriend in. He slipped up and I got him fired.

He liked to play this stupid game where he would harass me on the dry-erase board we had on the refrigerator. He worked at one of my favorite restaurants and wrote down that he has the cooks spit in my food.

So being fed up with the bullshit I've had to deal with from this overgrown mutant infant-man I snapped multiple pictures of the note and showed his manager the next time I was in there. He got fired yesterday...which was also April Fool's Day.

April Fool's you pile of shit.

I'm a white girl attracted to black girls. I'm white and otherwise straight. confession

[Light]: Casual confessions

I just came to accept this after being in denial for a while and I'm mildly confus.

I am about as attracted to white females as I am to refrigerators, and I am not at all attracted to refrigerators. Not latinas either. Brown don't do it. The blacker the better. Tall and toned and curvy and beautiful.

You know what's interesting though? That my taste in men is on the opposite end of the spectrum. As pale as humanly possible and if they don't look like I can pick them up and carry them into the sunset I'm just not interested.

And now I'm feeling vaguely racist.

TL;DR: Apparently I like my women like I like my coffee: black and strong.

[No Regrets] I am gay, and I am trying to turn into a bear confession

[No Regrets]: If you don't feel bad

I have been keeping this a secret for a while, but I feel like I need to tell someone about it, so here it goes:

I am a 23-year-old guy, and I'm gay. For most of my life, I have been a really thin and weak guy, but kinda tall too, at 6'2", so I was always lanky. Ever since I was a teenager, I have been attracted to guys who are large, especially offensive lineman types--guys who are built like refrigerators: huge and strong, but in many cases also a bit fat. I have always felt like I ultimately wanted to be with a guy like that, if I could ever find one.

At some point by the end of college, however, I started having the feeling that maybe I should try to change my body into that type, instead of just looking for someone with a certain body. So, I took up powerlifting--to get bigger and stronger, sure, as I would tell people, but more specifically to become linemanesque, or as I ended up finding, bearlike. (For those who don't know, a bear in the gay community is a large hairy guy; there are a lot of subtypes.) I always had the body hair for it, but I had to get bigger, so I got to work.

After about two years of powerlifting, I am about 40 pounds heavier than I was when I started, and I am happy with the way things have gone. I am bigger and stronger, definitely. I am more muscular, and I have also become chubby. The total effect is that I feel quite a bit better about myself, and I feel much more masculine. I plan to keep powerlifting, and in the future, I hope to get much bigger. I feel better that way.

Wow, this was so weird to say, but it feels good. Comments are welcome, if you want to say anything.
