Today my son and I found a dead fer de lance on the road, sadly flattened by a passing car. It was freshly killed, and we took it back home and stored it in the refrigerator. My son especially wants to dissect it, and I'm trying to ascertain the dangers. Is the venom dangerous if it merely contacts the skin? Many thanks for your expertise.
