Viper venom on skin snakes

Today my son and I found a dead fer de lance on the road, sadly flattened by a passing car. It was freshly killed, and we took it back home and stored it in the refrigerator. My son especially wants to dissect it, and I'm trying to ascertain the dangers. Is the venom dangerous if it merely contacts the skin? Many thanks for your expertise.

Need some help. Trying to get my ball python to eat F/T snakes

So it's has been 3 weeks since he has had a meal. I bought a small frozen rat on Saturday. I put it in the refrigerator over night to thaw. I then put it (still in the bag) in warm water for 20 minutes to warm it up. I then presented the rat to the snake. I held the rat with tongs on the opposite side of his enclosure and the snake came over for a second. I proceeded to move the rat a little bit to make it seem a little alive. My snake just slithered back over to it's hide and balled back up inside. I don't want to feed him live rats anymore but I am about to get one just so he will eat. When I got him he was eating live. Any tips or tricks? Did I do something wrong? Thanks in advance for the help.

Uncharacteristic hiding snake. Please help. snakes

Ive had my pueblan milk for a few months and he's been great. But I have noticed that going on a week now, he hasn't left his tree hide. There is a hole on the bottom and he is actually in the part that is hollowed out instead of the hide area that you can see him. I can pick up the tree and see him in there but the hole is too small for me to get my fingers in to get him out. Usually he's always out in the afternoon chilling or crawling at night but I haven't seen him. I tried feeding him last night but he didn't take it. He usually is grabbing the mouse within 15 minutes even if he is in his tree. The only difference in his patterns is a few days before I stopped seeing him, he got loose overnight. I found him the next day under my refrigerator and put him back. I checked him and didn't see and cuts or marks. I'm worried that he might be sick or shaken up. Should I be worried about this behavior? Any advice on how to get him out or should I wait longer?

How long can you leave rats in the fridge? snakes

Hi, sorry if this is a really stupid question. Before I left my school apartment for break I put a rat in the fridge for my BP. I only realized a few days ago that this might have been a really dumb idea and potentially a huge waste of a rat. I'm new to snake ownership, so I'm not sure how long rats (small) can last in the refrigerator. It's at its coldest setting and on the top shelf, if that makes any difference.

I don't want to feed him anything that could be harboring harmful bacteria from being in a non-frozen state for longer than 48 hours (especially if said bacteria can really blossom during digestion). I know chicken typically lasts 4-5 days, but obviously rats are not chicken.

Should I throw it out and defrost a fresh one when I get home just to be safe?

Edit: Want to make clear that I've had someone check on his temps/humidity/water/hygeine throughout the week :)

Second edit: The longer I think about it, the more I'm convincing myself to just trash it and remember this experience for next time. Wish I had thought that through

Tiny freezer for rats? snakes

I am using a fairly big mini freezer/refrigerator that's wasting space and electricity. Is there such thing as a really tiny freezer that would just fit for rats? I'm talking about really small, basically the inside volume as large as a 1 gallon jug?

I need to save space and money, I cannot use my main refrigerator because people I live with are uncomfortable with rats being in their freezer.

2 month old milk snake not eating, she escaped for 2 days and is very hostile now snakes

This is my third time trying to feed her and she has yet to eat(Bought her two weeks ago at Repticon). Once on the 24th, 6 days after I bought her, when she escaped my feeding box(My own stupidity) and was missing in my house for two days. I tried again on the 29th with no success, and again yesterday with no success. Prior to her escaping she seemed very docile, I handled her multiple times with no problems whatsoever, but she panicked and thrashed and bit me when I finally found her under my refrigerator and whenever I reach toward her she keeps striking at me. I've tried to leave her alone so she can calm down but two weeks(Plus possibly longer depending on when the breeder last fed her) seems excessive for a snake that's ~10 weeks old. I've been offering frozen/thawed pinkies that seem well within her ability to eat, though I can't really move the mouse around a lot when I offer it because she is constantly striking. Looking for some options :(
