is it better to have a mostly-filled or more empty refrigerator? NoStupidQuestions

The wife and I have a debate going if a refrigerator does better for energy efficiency and dispersion of cold/keeping things cold if you have more or less in there.

So, what's the best way, is it best to keep a lot of things (my thought, as it would take longer for things to cool, as more things are emitting cold).
