Me [27F] with my "aquaintance" [Late 40's F] Is there a term for someone that calls nonstop over 1 hr for 1 single trivial matter? I don't carry the phone with me all the time. relationships

1st off before I even met this person, everyone said this woman has issues, but is there a term for someone who does this or this type of behavior?

It's just damn annoying, also she had some major appliance issues before & had repair men rip her off at least 6 times in the past 2-3 years.

I was called by an associate concerning this restaurant, they knew she needed help, but they had no experience in the industry. This woman wants to turn the business around so it's more profitable. However, when I showed up, she said "I have no money to pay you, etc...." I wasn't allowed to do anything other than stand there.

I had to ask for permission to do virtually anything, it was just shocking to me. Eventually after a few days, she pointed out an $5000+ fridge that wasn't keeping temperature. I could see she was stressed & exhausted, showed me the receipts of all the PREVIOUS repair guys that charged her for SERVICES to this fridge.

I could sense due to her attitude, she has a tendency to get ripped off, because if I had to deal with her, I would charge MORE for the hassle. Anyway, I decided to call on some of my contacts for a trusted referral closer to her location.

The company sent one of their guy over within an hour & once he arrived she was watched the repair guy like a hawk. Started to question what he was doing, then started to say she couldn't afford the repair when he gave her a rough estimate, whatnot.

I was thinking, "I hope she doesn't ask me for the money to pay for the repair" Anyway, the appliance was a commercial refrigerator with at least $500 worth of perishable food in there. The compressor or something was going bad, but since she mentioned finances were an issue, the repair guy mentioned he could add some extra freon in the compressor in hopes that it will help lower the temperature back into the safe zone. If it worked, it would keep it running for at least 2 weeks till she gets enough money to pay for the proper repair.

While he was there, he also properly addressed/fixed some of the patchwork repairs that the previous professional repair guys did to scam her out of at least $300 if my memory is correct. (I saw the receipt)

Anyway, the next day the company was going to return to replace a broken part in the appliance that they didn't have in the repair truck. The woman called the company 5-7 times that morning, so needless to say I don't think they were happy with that.

Long story short..... A person that calls NONSTOP for 1 hour.... Is there a term for this type of behavior? I don't know anyone that does this.. Just seems extremely excessive.

Personally, if someone I call doesn't pick up, I assume they're busy/away from their phone & I just try back in a FEW hours if it's URGENT.

On another day, this same 40+ yr old woman ended up calling me nonstop one morning to do something, but I was on the phone with a friend so I didn't pick up, since it always seems like a trivial matter with her.

Once I was done talking to my friend I noticed in my log, she called 6-8 times, I was like, WTF?

Want the term for this so I can research it since I've never really dealt with someone like this. Thanks for any responses & sorry if I didn't phrase things properly.

tl;dr: Is there a "medical term" to describe/categorize a person who calls NON-STOP over 1 trivial matter!?!

Calling every 5-10 minutes over 1 hour time period basically to ask you when you can stop by?
