Hello!
I've just seen this movie. While I thought it was an "ok" movie, recorded in a very "intelligent" way (I don't even know who to credit for this. Art director? The producer?) it did let me wander about a couple of things:
When the uncle sends India down to the basement to put the ice-cream in the refrigerator (to make her see the dead body) how did he know the girl was just like him? Was he not worried the girl would've call the cops, or even her mother? How could he be sure she was a killer?
When India shoots the uncle in the freaking head, how on earth could all the blood go on the right wall and NONE on the damn window behind him (where the bullet also makes a hole) ? This was just damn stupid and completely not believable.
If the mother suspected Charlie killed his husband, why would she start making out with him? Like if that's how normal people would react.
When the uncle kills the guy who attempted to murder India, he did it with a belt. He used his belt to tie the guy's legs. And yet, when he see him dispose of the body, the damn belt is back on. Did he re-use the same belt? Did he use the killed dude belt? Why would he consider re-using the murder weapon? I get he is a cold killer, but that doesn't make you an idiot, does it?
Why, for the love of god, does she kill the cop at the end? What was her point? Did Park really needs to see us that she finally "embraces" her discovered nature? I don't believe this kind of transformation happens overnight. What was the point of the belt symbolism? Oh, now her uncle showed her her true nature? Oh Please.
I am a bit pissed, because the story of the movie itself doesn't minimally compare with the amazing way it was shot. What are your thoughts?
