Hi all. First time poster here. Hoping you could help.
Refrigerator: LG LFX25978ST
My fridge stopped dispensing water. I tested the water inlet valve with a multimeter and it was dead.
Ordered a replacement and installed: http://ift.tt/2AxkMO2
This fixed the issue. I was proud because I've never done any of this before.
But the hard plastic line that runs from the top of the fridge that goes into the water filter is leaking where it inserts into the inlet valve. I think its called a john guest fitting?
Its one of those you have to use a plastic clip or collet to lock it into place. Its spewing right above where it goes in. Its possible i may have bent the plastic water line a little. Would this cause the leaking? I even put the water line back in the old inlet valve just to make sure the new one wasnt faulty, and sure enough it leaked as well.
Here's pics of the line on the end that hooks into the valve:
As you can see it looks very slightly bent. Would this cause the leak? I'm at a loss as of what to do here other than order a whole new line which are like $150 Part is: AJR72929602 - http://ift.tt/2i4Dbv1
Any help would be appreciated.
All of this fridge stuff is a new world to me and I've learned a lot. Found the service manual as well: http://ift.tt/2Awkw21
thanks
