Why is the area around the freezer section of the grocery store cold? Where does the warm air go? NoStupidQuestions

As I understand it, in order to refrigerate something you generally have to generate heat somewhere else, which is why leaving the refrigerator door open won't cool down your kitchen, since the cool air will be offset by warm air. Why then is the freezer section cold? Shouldn't the freezers be generating heat, making the area around them slightly warmer if anything?
