Refrigerating film: how long can i keep it out of the fridge for, and how long after shooting should I get it developed? analog

My local film shop sells their film from out of the refrigerator, so when I get home I just pop it into the refrigerator as well.

My question is, when using said film (say, Kodak Portra 400) how long can I keep it out of the fridge before there is damage to the film? I plan on using up all the shots the same day, so I don't think that should be a problem.

My second question is, after I've used the roll, should I put the film back in the fridge until I am able to get it developed? Or will it be fine just being left out at room temperature (about 20 degrees celcius in my basement).
