I recently purchased a house that came with a True Brand glass door "Dr. Pepper" commercial fridge. I would love to get it up and running. It would make an amazing beer fridge. The previous owners said it was working fine last time they used the unit. However, the fridge has been turned off & stored for over a year.
Over the last month i have attempted to diagnose the problem. Below i have listed what i have looked into.
- The compressor turns on when the unit is plugged in. It does get hot but not extremely so. It doesnt not seem to cycle. It just stays on.
- The Condenser fan runs normally(After freeing it from dirt dauber nests) & i have cleaned the coils.
- The Evaporator fan is also working inside the unit. I can feel air blowing at the back of the unit but it seems to be room temperature.
*I pushed the tab(similar to a car tire air stem) near the compressor and Freon was present in the system.
Does anyone have any ideas i could try? Thank you guys for the help!
