Purchased Pergo laminate from Lowes, they are refusing to install because I have a squat rack with weights on it. WTH ? HomeImprovement

Title says it all. I purchased a nice Pergo Laminate for my basement install, Loews installer came and measured, saw that I had a squat rack with Lat attachment and then wrote on my ticket (that he did not share with me at the time) that he would not warranty the install, which I am finding out months later(was waiting for my basement to be refinished) . WTF is that ? People put things heavier than that in the basement on Laminate all the time. Refrigerators, Air Hockey tables, Bars, pool tables etc. I plan on having horse stall mats underneath the equipment anyway and I have had this exact same setup at my old house with even cheaper flooring from Lumber Liquidators and no damage has ever occurred as a result of the weights.
I am not sure why they would refuse to warranty the install. Can anyone knowledgeable weigh in here ?
