LPT: Before traveling abroad buy an old point & shoot film camera, make sure it's working properly, and some films. Try using mainly this camera and then wait a few months (or even years) to develop the film. LifeProTips

Even if the pictures don't turn out perfect, those printed pictures will bring out many memories after a few time waiting and are already available to put on your wall or on a frame. Also, IMHO, there's no comparison to having a physic copy of your pictures.

Edit: You should keep the films in the refrigerator to avoid mold.
