And to preemptively answer your question i'm building a $3k refer/ freezer. Unless you know where I can buy a 7cu.ft. +/- 12" absorption 'chest' refer/ freezer for $500 or less... Although I may be sweid to a 24 or 48 VDC compressor setup which would be so much simpler but less efficient and less options for energy sources.
