Hello reddit, Last week I noticed my refrigerator (GE) suddenly became warm. Not broken, just warm, the fridge held at 60 and the freezer held at 40, no condensation or leaking, by all accounts it looked normal. I call my landlord, she brings someone and then decides to buy a new fridge (not sure what the serviceman's conclusion was). Anyway, the new fridge started out perfect, but now it has the same problem! And the same temperatures even! Which makes me think it's the wiring, but I've never heard of a fridge being "low" on electricity, I thought it was more or less a binary thing. Anyway, I just hooked it up to a different circuit with an extension cord and it seems to be getting colder, but I'll need to wait an hour or two to know for sure. Any ideas what this could be and how to fix it? My landlord is sort of negligent, so I would rather be able to go to her knowing what we need.
