Hello reddit,
I like making coffee at night and then putting the pot in the refrigerator to enjoy it cold the next morning.
I recently bought a new coffee maker with a lovely new stainless steel thermal coffee pot. However, I noticed that several hours after leaving the thermal pot in the fridge, the coffee is still pretty warm. And after a night of leaving it there, the coffee doesn't seem to taste as fresh as if I were to leave it overnight in a regular glass pot.
Is my thermal pot doing such a good job at keeping the coffee warm, that it isn't able to reach a cold temperature and retain its freshness? If so, what is the best way to store brewed coffee to keep it cold and fresh?
