Could I touch my refrigerator to equalise the static electricity with the earth? buildapc

My refrigerator is large, and metal. I can't use my PC case because it will be plastic, and apparently I need something metal. The refrigerator is on rubber feet that touch a hardwood floor. Will this accomplish what I need it to do (which is to discharge static?)
