[Request] Food to assist with recovering from being burned out at work/school/life nutrition

My hope is that this thread will be able to help anybody already dealing with severe burnout. But yeah, it's also my own way of desperately trying to get some help specifically for myself. So, thank you for any ideas at all.

"The problem is burnout? Then we should talk about..."

In this thread, let's stick to nutrition suggestions aimed at helping with burnout recovery. It will be very easy to get off-track because nutrition suggestions alone aren't enough to end burnout. But the goal of this thread isn't to talk about everything that needs to happen to end burnout. The goal is to just talk about one part of the bigger picture: nutrition ideas.

For example, clinical depression is something that often needs to be addressed in order to overcome burnout. Same goes for endocrine deficiencies, which often play a causal role in the burnout. Dealing with these things may be necessary for the overall solution, but they aren't directly what we're talking about here. (Of course, it could still make sense to take them into account when sharing nutrition ideas.)

"Okay, so then what kinds of things are you hoping for in this thread?"

  1. Specific takeout/delivery suggestions (for especially bad days)
  2. Specific ideas for easy meals when the person knows in advance that they need to get a big task done (so that they can actually get it done, and with minimal setback in the overall recovery)
  3. Specific ideas for food ingredients to get at the grocery store or online
  4. Specific recommendations for supplements
  5. The reasoning behind those specific suggestions (so that they can be learned from in order to generate a long-term recovery strategy, and to know what to do in short-term situations)

Bonus points if you can stick to things that only require a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, or a slow cooker. I can't wait to have a full kitchen again, but right now, that's all I have. But again, I hope this thread can be useful for everybody, so don't be deterred from offering ideas for people with different circumstances.

Please help. Thank you.
