Hello all, first post in this sub. So I have a chihuahua and a Great Pyrenees/Maremma Sheepdog mix. My wife and I recently purchased a new house. In our old house, we had issues with the dogs both marking on the lowest stair and our couches/refrigerator. Once we moved in to our new house, we decided to get belly bands for them in order to prevent them from marking.
We have now lived in our new house for a little over a month, and just about 2 hours ago, my great pyrenees marked on a couch. 2 days ago we started letting them go without the belly bands when they were under supervision. I took my eyes off the great pyrenees for about 2 min while I fixed a snack for myself and he marked on my couch. We have had both couches cleaned thoroughly and the one he marked on was on a spot that was not available for him to mark on in our old house because it was against a wall.
I am so frustrated at this point, I dont know what to do. I have concerns that he may still have an un-descended testicle because he continually gets swollen gonads, but our vet has checked him and has not been able to find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?
