Not sure if this is quite the right place for this post, so if it isn't please let me know.
My wife was in the hospital for 3 weeks due to complications from the pregnancy and we got home yesterday. Our son has to stay in the NICU for another month or so. I was in and out of the house and never even touched the fridge. Well I came back to a busted fridge and everything was spoiled and had to be thrown out.
I contacted my home owners warranty and after 24 hours I got a response. They had someone they are contracted with to come check it out. They said it could take WEEKS to fix it. They suspect a coolant leak, but require special equipment to find and fix it. I can't be without a fridge for weeks and can't afford a new one right now. I'm at my ropes end right now and searching all over CL for some cheap small fridges. I need to be able to freeze pumped milk to give to my son. It would be nice to be able to store a little food for us as well. I've been using an ice chest and cooler for now, but it doesn't get cold enough to freeze the milk.
Ideally I would like to borrow it and return it once our fridge is fixed. Or I have an exercise bike that is decent and is collecting dust that I could trade for it. Renting might be an option, but I know they typically make you rent it for a month or so and again, money is concern right now.
