I've signed a lease for an amazing 2 BR/1 BA Potrero Hill gem and I'm looking for someone [sorry, no couples] to move into the other private bedroom beginning Jan 1, 2018.
About the apartment: It's a very spacious apartment in the sunniest neighborhood of San Francisco at the Top of Potrero Hill. There's a tropical garden which can be accessed through the living room. It's well maintained by a gardener on site 6-10 hours a month. It's a short walk to fine and casual dining on 18th and 20th Street, Whole Foods (4 blocks away), cafes and boutiques all within walking distance! Close freeway access to 280 and downtown MUNI stops. 22nd St. Caltrain station is ~0.5 miles away. The 10 and 19 Muni stops are each a street away.
The kitchen features a stainless refrigerator, gas stove and dishwasher with a lot of cabinets and an island. There's a wood burning stove in the living area. The living area is huge and there's a partition, so it's more like a separate dining and living area. The available bedroom is big and sunny and has a large reach-in closet. There's one more closet near the bedroom window. The bedroom is carpeted, the living room and lobby is hardwood and the kitchen and bathroom are tiled. Laundry is in the building and it's shared with 2 other units. There's ample street parking around and it's very easy to find a spot.
The apartment is unfurnished and I'd be adding furniture once I move in. If you have any living room furniture that you'd like to bring, you're more than welcome.
This is one of best neighborhoods in SF. It's quiet, conveniently located next to Mission and SoMa so everything happening is a short distance away. There are amazing views in all four directions since we'll be at the very top of the hill! There's a park/rec center nearby where people from the neighborhood walk their dogs.
Move in funds for the apartment would be first month's rent and the security deposit, which is one month's rent. The rent does not include utilities.
The owner doesn't allow pets, sorry.
About me: I'm a 25 yo male. I have been living for the past few years in Los Angeles, but I'm moving here to start a new job in January. I'm pretty chill, clean, respectful and outgoing. I love traveling and hiking so I'll be outdoors on the weekends or exploring the city or at a concert somewhere. I love checking out new restaurants/dives and hanging out with people. My schedule is pretty tight on the weekdays [work + gym], so mostly when I get home I relax - watching Netflix, reading, cooking, etc. I volunteer at a non-profit here in LA and expect to do the same once I find a good one in SF.
I like having people over for game nights, movie nights or to pregame once in a while. Right now, I don't know a lot of people up in SF but that'll change soon. I also like to hang out with my roommates - grab drinks, dinner, movie/binge watching nights and going out in general. I'm also chill with others having people over.
About you: You're ideally looking for a long-term stay. The lease is for a year and it's month to month after so I'd like someone who's looking to stay for a year at least. You should have good credit, a stable income and pay the rent on time [1st of every month]. Preferably, you're in your 20s. You clean up after yourself and are respectful of others' space. You like to hang out with your roommates and are okay with having people over once in a while.
