A few months back I discovered the CGP Grey channel and found his videos interesting. Naturally I became more interested in what he has to say on varied topics and gravitated toward the podcast that he makes with Brady Haran from Numberphile, titled "Hello Internet". Now until pisode 6, I nodded in assent as Mr. Grey described some of the nuisances in life as I could relate to them.
Now at episode 37, I find myself hating his way of talking, his views and his opinions. All he does is "Act like a robot" which is the running joke of the podcast and trying to make himself look efficient by saying shit like "Oh, I am so minimalistic, Brady you are not, Get some order into your life Brady etcetc.
For a person who makes education videos for a living, he is one of the most ignorant person I have seen on the internet, and mind you all lovely folks that you come across more persons on the internet than you can in real life. What is the deal with him and Newspaper. He doesn't follows new and acts mighty about it instead of accepting his shortcoming, trying to downsize Brady. Also he is always moaning on and on and on and on about Apple and/or Iphone. I agree that it is good, but do you really have to whine so much about it? I remember how he said in a previous podcast that he doesn't like the Iphone's new increment in size and bitches about the Apple watch launched along with it professing that although he has bought the Iphone he doesn't like the Watch. However after a few podcasts and in his Vegas Vlog, he is seen wearing it and he also claims how mighty that watch is, in his opinion. In my language there is an idiom which when translated means "spitting and licking it". He is the perfect example of this.
He is also hypocritical since he always puts human dominition over nature as a first but prefers to be in nature for a relaxing holiday. He gives an impression of one of theose campers who camp out in the woods and bring with them a caravan with a bed, refrigerator, a toiletand everything that one must not do while camping.
Also I know it is a joke that in his patreon page he has mentioned a goal of 1 million dollars from the podcast (in which some users sent him pictures from the Shard). But the amount of donors giving him his current amount of money every month is ridiculous considering he hasn't put out a video or any anything for months. I know he puts in a lot of effort in making those videos but 3 or more months for just a video? And people are donating to him for doing nothing?
