Cabinetry - Base Cabs, Wall Cabs and Tall Cabs (Decorative Storage) minecraftsuggestions

I would like to suggest a new variant of Chest - THE CABINET!

To go along with this I have created another post called [Countertops](1111)

Craft Cabinets with 8 Wood Planks surrounding 1 glass block. These could have glass in the doors possibly?

Cabinets are able to have different uses depending on how they are placed. See below for variations.

Base Cabinet: Placing a cabinet on the ground (not on a wall) will put a box down with 2 doors facing the spot you placed from. This stores 27 stack-able slots. It doesn't take up the entire block similar to chests. Place another cabinet adjacent to it (attaching it to the side like you would with a hopper (crouched)) and it becomes a double base cabinet holding 54 slots. These should be able to be placed side by side but I'm no code expert. When they are placed side by side trim pieces will fill in the gaps between cabinets.

Wall Cabinet: Place a Cabinet on 1 of 4 Horizontal sides of a block. This creates a wall cabinet which isnt as deep as the base cabinet aesthetically, more like half the block deep. It still stores 27 slots, has 2 doors and can be expanded to a double cabinet (by placing on the side of a cab while crouched). Should be place-able side by side. (See corner wall cab in special cases below)

Tall Cabinet (Mock Refrigerator or pantry): Placing a cabinet on the top or bottom of another (While crouching) creates a tall cabinet(54 Slots) and adding a third creates an even taller cabinet(81 slots). Both of these variants of the Tall Cabinet have 1 Vertical Door. (I'm open to removing the 3 high cabinet but It will look odd for a tall cabinet to stop below the wall cabinets)

Special Cases:

• When base cabinets are placed diagonally (an L shap with the corner missing) they automatically add a trim piece between them to hide the empty corner.

• Trim Pieces wil go to the edge of a block touching adjacent (but not attached) cabinets to look like a single unit.

• When a wall cabinet is placed in a corner, it becomes a corner wall cabinet facing diagonally away from the corner. See example image (This happens unless attached directly to another cabinet to make a double)

I work in a Woodworking Shop and we make cabinets on a regular basis. I have a pretty broad understanding of how they work and want to apply it to one of my favorite games! If you have anything to add or critique please share!
