So I've been without power since midnight, it's now 9am. It's a very full side by side with the freezer set at 0F, and refrigerator at 37F when power was lost. Neither door has been opened. About how long should it take to thaw in those conditions?
I can open the doors to check, but that will greatly accelerate thawing. I've already written off any refrigerated perishables as lost but I'm hoping to preserve the frozen meat as long as possible before moving to a cooler.
