This happened last week. As Chengdu is in the southwest China, there is no central heating. These days, it's getting so cold that I cannot stand anymore. So when I was lying on the sofa watching TV in the living room, I decided to put the electric blanket under my body to keep me warm. When I finished watching TV, I stupidly forgot to turn off the electric blanket and went outside to have some fun.
When I came home, I found the sofa was totally fucked up. It was totally burned and collapsed. Thanks God! My mom was in the house when it began to fire and she noticed the fire at early stage. But she couldn't put out the fire as it is so terrible. At last she called my neighbor, a big guy, to help putting it out. The living room was filled with poisonous gas as the sponges in the sofa were burned and my mom coughed a lot for several days. Now I have to ask some guy to fix the sofa and repaint the wall as it was burned to black. Fortunately, the TV and refrigerator was not burned and I do not need to change them.
TL;DR: forgot to turn off the electric blanket and lighted the living room.
