Model: rb195bssb
Symptom: Freezing all food in refrigerator compartment regardless of temp setting
Troubleshooting performed:
-
First time I did a 72 hour unplug defrost. Turned it back on, set temp at highest setting (46) and waited. Worked great for about 1 week.
-
Also vaccumed out around the compressor, it was really fine.It worked great for about a week, when it happened again. It happens fast when it happens.
-
This time I found some forums with some insight, popped off the interior rear panel and discovered that the coils were iced. See picture.
-
Attempted to do a force-defrost mode but wasn't able to make sense of the output or hear anything kick on. Front door temp says 46 actual temp around 10-12 degrees.
My thoughts: I assume it's the control board, the evaporator, or a thermistor. I'm electronics savvy and have a good set of test tools if someone can assist with the process.
