This was my experience with KetoSoy so far. I would like to point out(for posterity's sake, I paid for my own KetoSoy and I am reviewing it out of my own volition).
For some background on myself, I have tried to make my own DIY version of Soylent many times but I have not been able to get the taste correct in any of my recipes. I first ever heard of Soylent via an ethics bowl competition where we had to argue whether Soylent would be a reasonable solution to the world's hunger problems.
I found out about KetoSoy after doing much research about the different types of Soylent. I have done a Ketogenic diet before, hence I am familiar with the feeling and the food required. I am very used to being keto adapted and I enjoy it very much. I chose KetoSoy in particular because it contained primarily milk protein and it included the oil with the powder. The Macros also fit very well with my needs.
As I am writing this sentence, the shake is in the refrigerator becoming cold. When I received my package, part of the bag with the powder had some oil on it but it didn't seem to be a substantial amount and was no big deal to me. The instruction were fairly clear however I wasn't sure how long to chill it for. Now comes the taste.
I should note that I am extremely picky with shakes, in fact, often I reject regular protein shakes without milk.
The smell is somewhat like oatmeal, as is the texture. I really don't mind thick shakes and I would describe this shake as relatively thick. The taste is very neutral, not very chocolaty but also it does not have a strong taste at all. The chia seeds are there but not bad tasting or annoying in anyway. For my first attempt I am more than satisfied. I believe I could add a little bit more sweetener for the next attempt but other than that, I do not mind it at all.
All in all, I would rate KetoSoy 9/10. The one point I am taking away is simply for the lack of chocolaty taste however perhaps that is partially user error in someway. I really have no complaints outside of that.
