I've been watching refrigerator repair videos a lot the last couple of days. There is no cooling, compressor doesn't hum, light is on, fan won't run. tested compressor for continuity and it doesn't have any shorts.
i bought a relay/overload kit that is nearly identical to the original but doesn't have matching numbers, didn't work. after reading more i found the problem might be the defrost timer switch, which looked toasted on the inside and didn't test well.
i replaced the defrost timer switch and tried both sets of relay/overload components.
kind of at a dead end here. not sure if i should try to replace the thermostat or what next? what should i test? this seemed like the best place to go. any help is appreciated. thanks
